The accidental fundraiser

I accidentally fell into fundraising in 2004, when a voluntary group I was involved with needed someone to write a grant application. I've had a thing for form-filling from an early age, so I was delighted to help, and from then I was hooked.

I've spent 22 years working for and with charities of all shapes and sizes, securing grants from hundreds of pounds to millions. I've led large, successful teams, been part of a team, and been a sole fundraiser so the chances are I know where you're coming from!

My expertise lies mainly in trusts and foundations fundraising, but I'm also adept at creating compelling cases for support for major donors, developing pipelines, pulling together strategies and generally helping you get your ducks in a row.

Speaking of which, nature conservation is a cause close to my heart (I spent 13 years working for my local Wildlife Trust as a fundraiser), but I have also crafted applications for charities working in the heritage, arts, youth and disability sectors.
